We have seen the importance of the first job for building self-esteem and looking towards the future. With this in mind, we have developed projects and activities in line with the quest for the first job. For example, the “Geração de Futuro” programe, which aims at the insertion of high school youth from public schools into the labor market. We also have the possibility of counting with collaborators and teenager internships. They are young people of 16 and 17 years of age. They work with us and receiving a grant for their contribution. We currently have three young people collaborating with SMF: Cauê, 16 years old, at the SMF office, André, 17 years old, in the social center of JM and João Vitor, 16 years old, in the social center of the Carmo neighborhood. The last one to arrive, was João Vitor who has been collaborating with us since the new restart of activities in Bairro do Carmo. Shall we get to know him a little?
"Hello My Name is João Vitor, I am 16 years old, I live in Bairro do Carmo, I am the newest volunteer at Projeto do Carmo. I am very happy with the opportunity, since I was a little boy I participated in the project, and today I get this opportunity to be part of the team, to help the project and the monitors during classes, and also to help my neighborhood. I just have to thank God and the project for everything they have done for me! Thanks!"
